The Showgirl Must Go On!

Bette Midler’s ukulele was up at auction for charity last year, and with a guide price of $1000-1500, sold for $8000.

Flea Ukulele’s made two copies of the instrument, which was custom-embelished with pink and clear Swarovski crystals for her shows between 2008 & 2010 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, and one of the copies is on display there today.

Interesting piece of trivia – one of the top dealers in ukuleles, MusicGuyMike, says his parents taught Bette Midler when she went to Radford High School in Hawaii.
